Cloth or Disposable

I admit this is more of a venting type of post...but what can I say, sometimes you just need to vent!

So my husband and I are really trying to take care of student loans etc. and get out of DEBT fast! Thanks goodness we're not up to our ears in it, and that we have an end in sight (thanks to my money savvy husband). But due to some new adventures life has presented us, we REALLY need to be extra careful in where our money is spent, and how much of it!

While on my way to a bridal shower with an old friend, she told me about cloth diapers and how much money you can save on them, after doing research my husband and I concluded that we could save AT LEAST 1,000$ per child on cloth diapers!

This is where the vent session comes in...do any of you know how many cloth diaper nay sayers there are?!?! My goodness! Why does it matter to YOU what I put on MY childs butt?! Good heavens!

I know cloth diapers are a lot of work, I know that some of the old ones really turned people off to them! But seriously?! There are so many modern kinds and cuts of disposable diapers, and most of the people who make and sell them, USE them themselves, of course they're aware of blow outs etc.

I'm just frustrated with daisy downers. Life is hard, the economy sucks, and I'm determined to save money any way I can. So bring on the cloth diapers, all you've done is made me more determined to prove that I can save money and be way happier with my poopy cloth diapers. Geesh!

Walmart's Mini Pumpkin Pies

So Walmart has these spectacular mini pumpkin pies that are absolutely to DIE for! They look similar to these little guys, except that walmart adds a whipped cream cheese frosting to the tops of them. It's an amazing bite sized pumpkin pie! So if any of you have an in with walmart, could you please ask them to start making these guys sooner this season, waiting until Thanksgiving time simply isn't an option for me and my pregnancy cravings! Thanks!

My little monkey!

So I went in for a check up today at my Dr.'s office to see how my little one is doing. At this appointment, we weren't going to do an ultrasound. So I was talking to the doctor and he was gonna use the doppler to hear the babies heart beat, after a few attempts and hearing nothing, I was a little worried. So the doctor decided to go ahead and take me to the ultrasound machine where we could see the baby.
It turns out that my little one was jumping and moving around too much for the doppler ultrasound to pick up its reading! So while worrying me to death I've come to the conclusion I'm having a monkey! Not sure if its a boy monkey or a girl monkey, but it definitely is a monkey nevertheless! And its healthy. Sigh of relief!

I really really REALLY don't like to get into politics on my blog and what not, because I've found that people get extremely sensitive when ripped on about their stupid, uninformed, blind following mistakes. But I've absolutely had it with Obama! I thought we lived in America where our constitutional rights were free! Where we could CHOOSE for ourselves what we want to do, and what we want our future to hold. That was until Obama came along. I KNEW something was wrong with him. I could FEEL it inside that this man would be the death of what we true patriots call America, and sure enough he has attempted to reach his greasy little hands into every aspect of true America and run it, in one way or another! NO MORE! This man must be stopped, and NO not in a J.F.K. sort of way, I'm talking the people need to stand up and SAY NO MORE! Call your representatives, let them know that we've had it! I'm ALL about an African American being president, more power to them, HOWEVER, I am not ALL about a crazy person, whatever their race, running my country because they're a smooth talker!

Obamacare? SERIOUSLY?!? He couldn't come up with a better name to mask his true intentions of running every part of Americans lives like he truly is. If we give this man anymore power it will seal the transformation that we've entered from going from a democracy to a dictatorship.

Your Senators and Representative will soon be home for the August recess of Congress. Get a car load of friends and go meet with your Senators and Representative. Some News!

I know that I just posted, but we have some exciting news!!! We waited to share it with everybody until we could tell Travis' parents! But without further adeu...our special news!!!! Since a picture is worth a thousand words I'll let it speak for itself!

The previous three were so light that I wanted to be certain! So I went with one that would straight up tell me! We're so excited!!!

Our First Fourth of July!

So my parents came out for the Fourth of July, we had to check out the quilted bear because we're crafty like that! And lo and behold right next door is this amazing cupcake shop! The Sweet Tooth Fairy! I had seen several blog posts about this place, and so I couldn't resist trying one! Mine is the chocolate one with the cherry on top! It was divine, with a tall glass of ice cold milk, I truly believe that this is what heaven would taste like...absolutely divine!

We headed up to family camp the next day! We unloaded all of the loot!
Set up all of our tents. The green and yellow one in the back was mine and Travis', It was absolutely ginormous! Shout out to Krista for hooking us up with this awesome gift!
For the night of the fourth, we played with sparklers, and got to watch our legal fireworks. In addition to our legal fireworks which I was only able to get pictures of because the other ones were always launched at sporatic moments.
We had what seemed like a front row view of a huge illegal fireworks show! They even had a mortar! We were shocked as to how in the world they didn't get caught and ticketed!
After the fireworks, my SIL and niece and I all decided to decorate these darling baby wipe clutches. They turned out so cute!!!
That's it for our Fourth of July! It was amazingly fun and eventful! I love the fourth! It's definitely one of my most favorite holidays. I'm so grateful for the men and women who have served to protect and honor this amazing nation that we live in. God Bless America!
